The Greer Police Department (GPD) will host its 13th annual fund-raising golf tournament on Thursday, October 12th to raise money for the Cops for Tots program.

The event will be held at the Greer Country Club, located at 2299 Gap Creek Road in Greer, SC. It will include a luncheon at 11 a.m., along with registration, and tee-off is at 12:30 p.m.   The golf tournament is part of the annual campaign to raise funds to provide Christmas gifts for under privileged children that live in the Greater Greer area so that no child is left without presents on Christmas Day.

In 2016, the GPD was able to provide presents to over 300 children.   “The Cops for Tots Golf Tournament has become a fun and important annual event to support children in our community,” Lieutenant Patrick Fortenberry said. “Thanks to the generosity of the many community members and businesses who make it successful, we are able to brighten the lives of many children and start to build a relationship with them.”

In the event of bad weather, we will reschedule a date for the tournament.
