A woman in North Dakota says she isn't giving out candy this year to Halloween trick-or-treaters that she thinks are too fat. Instead, she's giving them letters to take home to their parents with this message: "Your child is, in my opinion, moderately obese and should not be consuming sugar and treats to the extent of some children this Halloween season." So, she thinks it is "irresponsible" to allow chubby children to go trick-or-treating. Do you agree? Do you think her action is thoughtful or cruel to chubby kids? Joey Chestnut ate 121 Twinkies in under 6 minutes. The competition was held at Bally’s casino in Tunica, Missouri. Chestnut beat Yakeru Kobayasji’s Guinness World Record for the most Twinkies eaten in under a minute. The previous record was 14 Twinkies. Chestnut ate 20 Twinkies in under a minute.

What turns you on? New British research reveals that women are most turned on by losing weight, while men are more turned on after a night out with the boys. The study covered two-thousand people and found that for women the things that round out their top 5 turn ons are fresh bed sheets, winning a sum of money, a night out with the girls and a hot bath.
For men, all of the top 5 turn ons were the same, except instead of "losing weight" they said "Sports team win." Also, "cleaning the house" made it into the top 10 turn ons for men and an expert explains that men don't see cleaning as their "job" so they feel that when they clean their partner is likely to "reward" them for their efforts.

Students at a university have been told not to wear "offensive" halloween costumes including cowboys, indians and anything involving a sombrero. Students at the University of Colorado Boulder have also been told to avoid "white trash" costumes and anything that portrays a particular culture as "over-sexualised"- which the university says includes dressing up as a geisha or a "squaw" (indigenous woman). They are also asked not to host parties with offensive themes including those with “ghetto” or "hillbilly" themes or those associated with "crime or sex work." In the letter sent by a university official students are asked to consider the impact that their costumes could have. Christina Gonzales, the dean of students, wrote: "Making the choice to dress up as someone from another culture, either with the intention of being humorous or without the intention of being disrespectful, can lead to inaccurate and hurtful portrayals of other people's cultures.”

You'll get a report documenting who died in the house, if anyone, and if known, how they died. If you don't do the research on your own, real estate agents and sellers in most cases aren't required to disclose that there was a death on the premises unless it was the direct result of the house's condition or a newsworthy event.
So, would you want to know if someone died in your home or in one you're considering buying? I mean if you knew someone died in a home you were considering buying, would it make you less likely to go through with it? Would it only influence you in certain situations, such as if a murder had taken place there instead of someone dying of natural causes? Some women have dyed their hair so many times that they don't remember their natural hair color. A new British survey reveals that as many as 17% of women don't remember their natural hair color. The survey results indicated that women go to get their hair colored an average of once every 8.2 weeks, and spend the equivalent of about 69 dollars a visit. 28% admitted that they get their hair colored more often than they get it cut, and 33-percent said they usually had it cut and colored at the same time. Just 12% of the 1,342 women surveyed said they've never had their hair colored, and 62% surveyed said they do in fact know their natural hair color. (Daily Mail)

A cemetery's decision to withdraw its approval for a pair of SpongeBob SquarePants headstones has sparked a controversy in Cincinnati. Sgt. Kimberly Walker was murdered by her boyfriend last Valentine's Day. Walker was an avid fan of SpongeBob SquarePants. The family decided to have two 6-foot-tall SpongeBob SquarePants headstones erected. The first, dressed in an Army uniform, would be for Kimberly. The 2nd, dressed in Navy attire, would be for her twin sister, Kara, who currently serves. Each gravestone costs $13,000 and weighs 7,000-pounds. The gravestones were installed on October 10, but the family was asked to remove the headstones because they didn't fit cemetery guidelines. A spokesperson for the cemetery said they feel horrible about the misunderstanding and would be willing to pay for another monument that would fit the cemetery's guidelines. (Yahoo News)

SOME PARTICIPANTS WERE THEN TOLD TO WRITE ABOUT A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH ROMANTIC LOVE, WHILE OTHERS WERE TOLD TO WRITE ABOUT EXPERIENCING ROMANTIC JEALOUSY, AND A CONTROL GROUP WROTE A BORING ESSAY ABOUT LANDMARKS. PARTICIPANTS THEN RATED THE TASTES OF THEIR TREATS, AND THOSE WHO WROTE ABOUT LOVE RATED THEIR SAMPLES AS SWEETER THAN THE JEALOUSY OR LANDMARK GROUPS. ANOTHER GROUP DID A SIMILAR EXPERIMENT, ONLY THIS TIME THEY DRANK DISTILLED WATER INSTEAD OF EATING CANDY. RESEARCHERS SAY THINKING OF LOVE MADE THE DISTILLED WATER SEEMS SWEETER TO THOSE WHO THOUGHT ABOUT LOVE, COMPARED TO THOSE WHO THOUGHT ABOUT JEALOUSY OR HAPPINESS. RESEARCHERS SAY, "JUST LIKE HUMANS, RATS DON'T SEEM TO GET MUCH PLEASURE OUT OF EATING RICE CAKES." RESEARCHERS THEN COMPARED THOSE TEST RESULTS TO A SECOND TEST, WHICH RATS HAD THE CHOICES OF A SALINE SOLUTION INJECTION OR A DRUG INJECTION OF COCAINE OR MORPHINE. RESEARCHERS SAY THE CRITTERS CHOSE THE DRUG INJECTIONS ABOUT AS OFTEN AS THEY CHOSE OEROS IN THE OTHER TEST. ALSO, AS MOST PEOPLE DO, THE RATS ARE THE CREAMY CENTER OF THE COOKIE FIRST. RESEARCHERS SAY THIS ADDS TO THE GROWING BODY OF RESEARCH THAT FINDS THAT HIGH FAT AND HIGH SUGAR FOODS STIMULATE A SIMILAR BRAIN RESPONSE ONE WOULD HAVE TO TAKING DRUGS.
