Check out our complete list of holiday lights, tree lighting ceremonies, parades and more to get you in the Christmas spirit!

Christmas lights

Upstate Holiday Light Show at Greenville-Pickens Speedway.
November 23 through December 31, 6-10PM each night. The Upstate’s biggest interactive light show with digitally choreographed and synchronized lights. A new ice rink, petting zoo and Santa Land. Santa’s workshop is also open on December 15, 16, 22 and 23.  $20 per car and tickets can be purchased on line.  UpstateHolidayLights.com  864-295-5764

Roper Mountain Holiday Lights at the Roper Mountain Science Center. 
November 23 through December 30, 6-10PM each night. This is the final year for this show. Featuring a Winter Wonderland walking area, Santa Claus and various entertainment. $15 per car.  

Anderson Lights of Hope at 520 Woodcrest Drive, Anderson. 
November 23 through December 30. 6-10PM each night. A drive-through 2.4-mile display that also features a walk-through Santa’s Village and nightly live entertainment. $10 per car. 

Holiday Lights Safari at Hollywild Animal Park, Wellford SC.
Now through December 31.  6-9PM each night Lights, animals and Santa’s village. Plus a life-sized nativity scene. Stroll through the park and visit Mrs. Claus’ attic for a panoramic view of the lights. $10 per vehicle, $6 per person for Santa’s Village. 

The Passion of the Lights at Edge Community Church, 506 Edwards Road, Greenville. (Formerly known as Greenville Griswold, but a new location.)
November 24 through December 31.  Sun-Thur 6-10PM, Fri & Sat 6-11PM.  Drive by to check out the lights and displays or park and walk through.


Christmas Parades

GREENVILLE: Saturday, Dec 2, 6-730PM.  Poinsettia Christmas Parade, sponsored by the City of Greenville with about 90 holiday floats and activities. 
Main Street from Augusta Street to North Street.  Here is the parade route.

LAURENS: Saturday, Dec 2, 5PM. Along Main Street.  2017 Christmas Parade.

MAULDIN:  Saturday, Dec 2, 2PM.  Christmas Parade.

SIMPSONVILLE: Sunday, Dec 3, 3PM, downtown along Main Street.  Annual Simpsonville Christmas Parade.

GREER: Sunday, Dec 3, 2:30-3:30PM.  Greer Christmas Parade

FOUNTAIN INN:  Wednesday, Dec 6, 5PM. Christmas Parade.

LANDRUM: Thursday, Dec 4, 5PM.  Landrum Christmas Parade and Stroll.

TRAVELERS REST: Saturday, Dec 9m, 10AM. Christmas Parade.

EASLEY: Saturday, Dec 9, 6PM.  Easley Christmas Parade of Lights 

ANDERSON: Sunday, Dec 10, 3PM. Kicks off at the Anderson Civic Center balloon launch area. Anderson County Annual Christmas Parade.

SPARTANBURG: Tuesday, Dec 12, 6:30PM.   Spartanburg Jaycees Christmas Parade.  This popular parade gets crowds of about 20,000, so check out the parade route and pick a good spot.


Tree lighting ceremonies and more

Dickens of a Christmas in downtown Spartanburg.  Nov 28, 6-9PM at Morgan Square. Victorian carolers, live Christmas music, living window displays, horse-drawn carriage rides, ice skating on Morgan Square and the lighting of the Christmas tree at Denny's Plaza. 

Bob Jones University Tree Lighting at the front campus at Bob Jones University.
December 1 at 6:30PM, but there will be many events throughout the day including activities for children starting at 3:30PM.  Ceremony will include Christmas carols and storytelling.  For a complete list of events throughout the day go to http://www.bju.edu/events/christmas-lighting.php

Mauldin’s 12 Days of Christmas at the Mauldin Cultural Center, 101 East Butler Road.  The festival begins at the Mauldin Outdoor Amphitheater on December 1 with the tree-lighting ceremony at 6PM. Music and more.  For other events throughout the celebration are on the website.

Spirit of Christmas at the Greer City Park Amphitheatre with the lighting of the city Christmas Tree.  December 1 from 5-7:30PM.   

Haywood Mall holds their tree lighting ceremony December 1 between 4-9PM in the parking lot between Macy's and Sears.  Santa arrives to light the tree at 8:30PM. 

Christmas INN Our Town in downtown Fountain Inn.  The holiday celebration kicks off on November 30 with the tree lighting and other holiday activities including carriage rides, Christmas movies, and a craft fair.  It runs through December 16.  See the complete schedule on the city's website  

Downtown Greenville features a whole list of events happening throughout the holiday starting on December 2.  For a complete list, go to www.downtownholidayhappening.com 

St. Francis Festival of Trees.  Be sure to check out the 80 or so luxuriously decorated Christmas trees on display in several downtown Greenville hotels from December 1 through January 1.  The trees are sponsored by local businesses, community groups and individuals that help benefit the St. Francis Cancer Center. They can be found Hyatt Regency Downtown, Courtyard Marriott Downtown, and Hampton Inn and Suites RiverPlace.
