It's going to cost more to attend Clemson University. The schools board of trustees has voted to increase tuition for the upcoming school year.

Beginning in August, tuition will rise by 2.75 percent for in-state undergraduates and 4.25 percent for out-of-state undergraduates.

The price of on-campus housing and meal plans will also increase, by $158 and $90 respectively per semester.

President James Clements said the increase will allow the university to continue to provide high-quality education to students.
